StoryFutures VP Skills Mandala (February 2023 version)

<p dir="ltr">The circular format of the VP Skills Mandala was inspired by the production mandalas designed by Alex McDowell, and at the Mandala’s centre lies an adapted version of the EPIC Unreal VP workflow diagram, from which stem the listed filmmaking Departments, roles and skills. VP skills converge centrally where the act of filmmaking and storytelling occurs, where creative, technical, and communicative skills contribute to a singular workflow. The VP Skills Mandala serves as a conceptual and practical tool for navigating VP’s complexity. It helps teams establish a shared frame of reference and common language, balancing the technical and 'soft' but equally essential communicational skills, preventing the latter from being overshadowed.</p>
