Two files of research data collected by Jennifer C Cantlay for the study “Ineffectiveness of light emitting diodes as underwater deterrents for Long-tailed Ducks Clangula hyemalis” are provided. The first file “Long-tailed ducks visual fields dataset.csv” contains the visual field data from four individual Long-tailed Ducks, which were measured at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. The second file “LED trials dataset.csv” contains the data from the LED light trials of eight Long-tailed Ducks conducted in the dive tank facility at Patuxent. It lists the different light treatments, the identification of individuals, their sex and mass, the trial day, the total number of dives per trial and the forage success of each dive.
